President Waddoups called the meeting to order at 8:22 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, February 10, and February 14, 2011 meetings.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.
1. SB0212 - Judicial Evaluation Amendments (D. C. Buttars)
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to delete in title and body S.B. 212 and replace it with 1st Substitute S.B. 212.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.
Sen. Buttars presented the bill.
Ms. Slotnik and Mr. Hatch spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to amend the 1st Substitute S.B. 212 as follows:
1. Page 16, Lines 483 through 486 :
483 (b) the judge receive a minimum score on the judicial performance survey as follows:

MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 212, as amended, with a favorable recommendation.

The bill was not considered.
