Committee Chair Van Tassell called the meeting to order at 4:17 p.m.
Approval of Minutes.
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to adopt the minutes of the February 9, 2011 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
1. S.B. 214 Motor Vehicle Rental Company Fee Disclosures (J. S. Adams)
The following amendment was proposed:
1. Page 2, Lines 56 through 57 :
56 charges in a rental agreement, including
but not limited to
:
57 (a) motor vehicle license cost recovery fees;
MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to adopt the amendment.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Adams explained the bill.
Brian Church, Risk Manager, Enterprise Rent-A-Car spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to transmit S.B. 214 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. H.B. 235 Technology Technical Amendments (P. Arent)
Rep. Arent explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to transmit H.B. 235 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved that the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to adjourn.
The motion passed unanimously.
