8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill modifies education funding for school districts, charter schools, and certain
11 state agencies for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012 and
12 modifies related budgetary provisions.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This bill:
15 . appropriates funding to school districts and charter schools for:
16 . educator salary adjustments; and
17 . child nutrition; and
18 . allows a school district or charter school to use the school district's or charter
19 school's remaining money received under the Education Jobs Fund program.
20 Money Appropriated in this Bill:
21 This bill appropriates for fiscal year 2012:
22 . $2,662,000 from the Education Fund;
23 . $56,580,300 from various sources as detailed in this bill.
24 Other Special Clauses:
25 This bill provides an immediate effective date.

29 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

30 Section 1. Appropriation.
31 Under the terms and conditions of Utah Code Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary
32 Procedures Act, the following sums of money are appropriated from resources not otherwise
33 appropriated, or reduced from amounts previously appropriated, out of the funds or accounts
34 indicated for distribution to state agencies, school districts, and charter schools for the fiscal
35 year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012. These appropriations are additions to
36 amounts previously appropriated for fiscal year 2011-12.

71 Section 2. Effective date.
72 If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this bill takes effect
73 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
74 Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
75 the date of veto override.
