9 General Description:
10 This bill requires the University of Utah to report on certain expenditures.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . requires the University of Utah to report to an appropriations subcommittee on the
14 use of money appropriated for a Miners' Hospital; and
15 . makes technical changes.

24 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25 Section 1. Section 53B-17-201 is amended to read:
26 53B-17-201. Proceeds from federal land grants for a Miners' Hospital --
27 Reporting requirements.
28 (1) There is appropriated to the University of Utah all funds, assets, and revenues
29 which have been, or will be, derived from the sale or other disposition of those lands conveyed

30 to the state of Utah by those federal grants for a Miners' Hospital for Disabled Miners
31 contained in Section 12 of the Enabling Act and in Chapter 280, Public Laws of the Seventieth
32 Congress, 2nd Session (Act of February 20, 1929) which funds, assets, and revenues now are,
33 or in the future will be, in the custody and control of the School and Institutional Trust Lands
34 Board of Trustees.
35 (2) The University of Utah shall report annually to the Legislature's Natural Resources,
36 Agriculture, and Environmental Quality Appropriations Subcommittee the following
37 information regarding the appropriation described in Subsection (1):
38 (a) an accounting of the use of the previous year's appropriation; and
39 (b) a plan for how the University of Utah will use future appropriations.
