             8      General Description:
             9          This bill amends the authority of a board of commissioners, city council, or board of
             10      trustees to enter into a contract for the lighting of public places.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    amends the authority of a board of commissioners, city council, or board of trustees
             14      to enter into a contract for the lighting of public places; and
             15          .    makes technical corrections.

             22          10-7-6, Utah Code Annotated 1953

             24      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             25          Section 1. Section 10-7-6 is amended to read:
             26           10-7-6. Contracts for lighting public buildings, streets, and alleys.
             27          The board of commissioners, city council, or the board of trustees may enter into a


             28      contract on behalf of the city or town for the lighting of its public buildings, streets, alleys, and
             29      other public places for [such] a period of time [as such] that the board of commissioners, city
             30      council, or board of trustees may [deem] consider advisable[, not to exceed three years].
