Madam Speaker:

    The Judiciary Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 90, PUBLIC MEETINGS DURING PARTY CAUCUSES, by Representative K. Powell, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 5, Line 149 :    

             149      Subsection (1)(a) shall inform the lieutenant governor of the date and time of

{   a   }        the party's       voting precinct


2.    Page 6, Lines 171 through 172 :    

             171          (2)
  Except in case of emergency,       A public body may not convene a meeting at the same time as a voting precinct

             172      caucus
  , provided proper notice of the party's precinct caucus has been given pursuant to Section 20A-8-402.       .
