Madam Speaker:

    The Health and Human Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 109, USE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IN RESEARCH, by Representative D. Sanpei, with the following amendments and recommends it be placed on the Consent Calendar.

1.    Page 8, Line 215 :    

             215          (i) the person

{   to whom   }        who writes       the prescription is      {   issued is   } licensed under Subsection (2); and


2.    Page 10, Lines 305 through 306 :    

             305      research may produce, possess,
{   or   } administer,      {   but may not   } prescribe        ,       or dispense      {   ,   } a controlled

             306      substance
  for research purposes as licensed under Subsection (2) but may not otherwise prescribe or dispense a controlled substance       listed in Section 58-37-4.2 .
