Chair Noel called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m. Members of the committee introduced themselves.

H.B. 48    Coalition of Energy Producing States (Rep. R. Barrus)

Rep. Barrus introduced the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 30-31:    After "appoint" reinstate "two members, of which no more than                 three of the four members shall be from the same political party"
2.    Page 2, Line 31:    Delete "one member" and insert "two members"
3.    Page 2, Line 50:    After "Committee" reinstate "and the Public Utilities and Technology Interim Committee"
SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:
    Rep. Ivory moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 30:    After "appoint" reinstate "two members,"
2.    Page 2, Line 31:    Delete "one member" and insert "two members"
3.    Page 2, Line 50:    After "Committee" reinstate "and the Public Utilities and Technology Interim Committee"




The substitute motion to amend the bill passed with Rep. Cox, Rep. Hemingway, and Rep. Hendrickson voting in opposition to the motion.

MOTION:    Rep. Handy moved to pass the bill as amended out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Hemingway voting in opposition to the motion.


H.J.R. 1    Green Schools Joint Resolution (Rep. M. Wheatley)

This bill was not considered.


H.B. 67    Stormwater Capture Amendments (Rep. F. Cox)

Rep. Cox introduced the bill and provided handouts to committee members.

MOTION:    Rep. Hemingway moved to hold the bill in committee. The motion passed unanimously.
