Vice Chair Wilcox called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of the February 28, 2012 (11:29 a.m.) and February 28, 2012 (3:26 p.m.) meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.

H.R. 3        House Rules Resolution (Rep. W. Harper)

Rep. Harper introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Morley moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Morley moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.

H.J.R. 19    Joint Resolution on Intent Language (Rep. F. Gibson)

Rep. Gibson introduced the resolution and explained it to the committee.

MOTION :    Rep. Wiley moved to pass the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

H.R. 4        House Rules Resolution Limiting Number of Bill Files (Rep. C. Frank)

Rep. Frank introduced the resolution and explained it to the committee. A handout was provided.

Spoke for the bill:    Mr. Dan Deuel, Weber County 9/12 Project


MOTION:    Rep. Draxler moved to pass the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The motion failed with Rep. Bird, Rep. Draxler, Rep. Mathis, and Rep. Wiley voting in favor of the motion and Rep. Harper absent for the vote.

MOTION :    Rep. Hendrickson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.

Vice Chair Wilcox adjourned the meeting at 1:00 p.m.
