Chair Okerlund called the meeting to order at 2:11 p.m.

Approval of Minutes
    
MOTION:    Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the January 31, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Davis absent for the vote.

H.B. 48    Coalition of Energy Producing States (Rep. R. Barrus) (Sen. S. Jenkins)

Rep. Barrus presented and explained the bill.

Spoke to the bill:    Sen. Karen Mayne

MOTION:      Sen. Christensen moved to pass the bill out favorably.

SUBSTITUTE MOTION:    Sen. Davis moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Lines 12 through 14 :    

             12          .    
[[   changes the membership of the group of legislators appointed to participate in

             13      multistate discussions involving agreements that encourage the development of
             14      domestic energy resources;

2.    Page 2, Lines 29 through 33
    House Floor Amendments

The motion passed, with Sen. Hinkins voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Sen. Christensen moved to pass the amended bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Sen. Hinkins voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Okerlund adjourned the meeting at 2:50 p.m.
