Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 2:21 p.m.
        
Approval of Minutes                             
MOTION: Sen.Osmund moved to approve the minutes of the January 24, 2012 meeting. The             motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 23    Special Administrative Expense Account Amendments (Rep. J. Peterson)

Rep. Peterson introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    
Sen. Jones moved to send H.B. 23 out of committee with a favorable              recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 115    Historical District Creation Requirements (Sen. W. Niederhauser)

Sen. Niederhauser introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: President Waddoups moved to replace S.B. 115 with 1st Sub. S.B. 115. The              motion passed unanimously.

Spoke for the bill: Charlie Luke, Vice President, Salt Lake City Council; Dale Zabriskie and                  Jan Ferre.                 
MOTION: Sen. Stevenson moved to send S.B. 115 out of committee with a favorable              recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.




S.J.R. 10    Resolution Approving Reappointment of Director of Legislative Research and General Counsel (Sen. M. Waddoups)

President Waddoups introduced and explained the resolution. Members of the committee paid tribute to Michael E. Christensen, Director of the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel for outstanding service.

MOTION: Sen. Stevenson moved to send S.J.R. 10 out of committee with a favorable             recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

M OTION:     Sen. Stevenson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.     Chair Reid adjourned the meeting at 2:45 p.m.
