Representative Stewart Barlow proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Lines 86 through 87 :    

             86          (b)
  (i)       The instruction described in Subsection (6)(a) is not intended to be a separate

             87      program in need of special funding or additional specialists
  at the state or local level       .

    
  (ii) The costs associated with any additional specialists or consultants that, notwithstanding Subsection (6)(b)(i), the State Board of Education considers necessary in order to meet the requirements of Subsection (6)(a) may not exceed $10,000 and shall be paid from funds within existing budgets or from nonlapsing funds.
