Senator John L. Valentine proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Line 22 :
22 This bill provides an

effective date.
2. Page 8, Lines 236 through 240 :
236 Section 6. Effective date.

If

(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), if
approved by two-thirds of all the members
elected to each house, this bill takes effect
238 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
239 Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
240 the date of veto override.
(2) The following sections take effect on July 1, 2012:
(a) Section 17-41-201;
(b) Section 17-41-405; and
(c) Section 17-41-407.
