REPORTING OPTIONS FOR AUTO INSURANCE

Senator Kevin T. Van Tassell proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Line 20 :
20 standards and requirements;
. provides that the Commissioner of Insurance may assess a fine against an insurer for
noncompliance;
. provides that under certain circumstances, the Commissioner shall excuse the fine;

(3) (a) The commissioner may, following procedures set forth in Title 63G, Chapter 4,
Administrative Procedures Act, assess a fine against an insurer of up to $250 for each day the insurer

(b) The commissioner shall excuse the fine if an insurer shows that the failure to comply with this section was:
(i) inadvertent;
(ii) accidental; or
(iii) the result of excusable neglect.
