8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Fire Prevention and Safety Act to update a penalty provision.

22 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
23 Section 1. Section 53-7-208 is amended to read:
24 53-7-208. Penalty and punishment.
25 [(1)] Any person who violates Sections 53-7-206 and 53-7-207 , requiring standard
26 equipment, is guilty of a class B misdemeanor.
27 [(2) A violator shall be punished by:]
28 [(a) a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $250;]
29 [(b) imprisonment in the county jail for not less than 10 days, nor more than 60 days;

30 or]
31 [(c) both a fine and imprisonment.]
