8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Traffic Code by enacting provisions relating to runaway vehicle
10 ramps.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . prohibits a person from using a runaway vehicle ramp unless the person is in an
14 emergency situation requiring use of the ramp to stop the person's vehicle; and
15 . prohibits a person from stopping, standing, or parking on a runaway vehicle ramp or
16 in the pathway of a runaway vehicle ramp.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 41-6a-717 is enacted to read:
27 41-6a-717. Use of runaway vehicle ramps.

28 (1) A person may not use a runaway vehicle ramp unless the person is in an emergency
29 situation requiring the use of the ramp to stop the person's vehicle.
30 (2) A person may not stop, stand, or park a vehicle on a runaway vehicle ramp or in the
31 pathway of the runaway vehicle ramp.
