12 This bill amends Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 1, Solid and Hazardous Waste Act.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 19-6-124 is enacted to read:
27 19-6-124. Burial of nonhazardous solid waste by an individual.

28 H. (1) .H Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, an individual may bury
29 nonhazardous solid waste on the individual's own property if:
30 H. [ (1) ] (a) .H the individual lives in an area where no public or duly licensed
30a waste disposal
31 service is available;
32 H. [ (2) ] (b) .H the individual owns the nonhazardous solid waste; and
33 H. [ (3) ] (c) .H the nonhazardous solid waste is generated on the individual's
33a private property.
33b H. (2) In accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act,
33c the board may make rules necessary for the administration of this section. .H
