             8      General Description:
             9          This bill provides an exemption for an active duty servicemember when renewing a
             10      concealed firearm permit.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    exempts an active duty servicemember from the Utah concealed firearm permit
             14      reciprocity requirement if stationed out of state.
             15      Money Appropriated in this Bill:

             21           53-5-712 , Utah Code Annotated 1953

             23      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             24          Section 1. Section 53-5-712 is enacted to read:
             25          53-5-712. Armed Forces -- Permit requirements -- Exemptions.
             26          An active duty servicemember of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a Utah
             27      concealed firearm permit is exempt from the requirement in Subsection 53-5-704 (4)(a) when


             28      renewing a Utah concealed firearm permit.
