S.B. 124, Task Force on Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing, enacted in the 1997 General Session, created the task force. Mr. Wade will review the provisions of the bill and explain task force procedures.

The primary stake holders will explain perspectives to the following questions: What is the problem we are trying to solve? What is the extent of the problem? What is affordable housing (level of income)? What drives the cost of housing beyond affordable housing? What can be done to keep costs down? How are the stake holders impacted? What should be the objectives/outcome of the task force?

11:30 a.m. 4. Task Force Round Table
Task force members will discuss what the objectives of the task force should be, what approach to take, and what topics to study at the next meeting.
