AGENDA

     1.    Call to Order and Committee Business - Rep. Byron L. Harward, Chair
            - Approval of Minutes of the October 22, 1997 Meeting

    
2.     Reporting Requirements         
                        Utah Code Ann. 62A-4a-207(4)(g) The Child Welfare Oversight Panel shall report its findings and recommendations .

                Utah Code Ann. 63-92-4(3) The Serious Habitual Offender Comprehensive Action Program (SHOCAP) shall explain the database it has created to track youthful offenders and provide collaborative and comprehensive services, and make recommendations regarding statewide implementation.

                Utah Code Ann. 64-13-6(4) The Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice (CCJJ) shall report on the criteria for determining sex offender treatability and the effectiveness of sex offender treatment.
        

                Laws of Utah Chapter 262, Section 5(2) Juvenile Justice Task Force shall report its findings and recommendations
.

                Utah Code Ann. 78-31b-4(5) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall report on the progress of the Dispute Resolution Program, including in the number and types of disputes it has handled, methods used to resolve such disputes.

                Utah Code Ann. 30-3-11.3(9) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall report on the progress of the Mandatory Educational Course for Divorcing Parents .     
            
    3.    Immunity for Volunteers

                The committee will review draft legislation, 1998 FL- 0069/003 "Immunity for Volunteers," and continue its discussion of volunteer immunity.

     4.    Judicial Nominating Procedures
        Chair Taylor will discuss Judicial Nominating Procedures
