Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 2:17 pm.


Approval of Minutes

 

MOTION:     Sen. Osmond moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen, Sen. Stevenson, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 110          School-based Budgeting Amendments (Sen. H. Stephenson)


Sen. Stephenson introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Urquhart moved to pass the bill out favorably.


SUBSTITUTE MOTION:   Sen. Osmond moved to move to the next item on the agenda. The motion failed with Sen. Jones, Sen. Osmond, and Sen. Stevenson voting in favor.


SUBSTITUTE MOTION:   Sen. Jones moved to return the bill to the Rules Committee. The motion failed with Sen. Jones voting in favor.


The original motion passed with Sen. Jones voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 298         Parent Seminar on Youth Protection (Rep. S. Eliason) (Sen. A. Osmond)


Rep. Eliason introduced and explained the bill.

 Rep. Ipson introduced and explained the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Urquhart moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.


Chair Reid adjourned the meeting at 3:53 pm.
