UCA 4-23-9(2)(a) requires the Division of Wildlife Resources in its annual budget request to include a request for General Funds equal to 25% of the amount of fees and contributions deposited in the Agricultural and Wildlife Damage Prevention Account during the previous fiscal year. These funds are transferred to the Department of Agriculture and Food and are used to partially fund the Agriculture's Predatory Animal Control program, which strives to minimize livestock and wildlife losses to predators on private, state and federal land.
