This legislation transfers the functions of Child Care and Family Day Care Licensing from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Health. This will necessitate a transfer of General Funds in the amount of $681,200 from Human Services to Health. There will also be a reduction of federal funds in the Human Services budget in the amount of $549,600, and a similar increase in the Health Department budget. The Health Department will increase its revenue transfers (drawn on federal Child Care Development Block Grant in the Department of Workforce Services) by $175,000.
