Passage of this tax could decrease the General Fund by $115,340,000 in FY 1998 and by $122,260,000 in FY 1999. The Tax Commission will require an appropriation of $212,000 in FY 1997 and FY 1998 to reprogram their computer system in order to remove only the state portion of the sales tax.
