Provisions of this legislation increase costs of district transit authorities. This bill requires a transit authority to increase compensation for board members by raising the amount per meeting and the maximum amount per board member authorized per month. UTA could pay as much as $23,400 per year in increased compensation expenses. This would be absorbed within their current or future operating budget.
