By extending the mandatory probation of DUI offenders, both class A misdemeanor and 3rd degree felony offenders will be under supervision for extended periods. Estimated costs to the Department of Corrections will begin in the second year (as the extensions begin) at $45,000 and grow to over $215,000 by FY 2003.
