This bill creates a restricted account known as the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Facilities Restricted Account. The bill appropriates 3 percent of all Transportaion Funds available for construction, rehabilation, and preservation of State highways to this account, beginning in FY 2003. It is estimated that this requirement would transfer a minimum of $2,500,000 to the restricted account.
