This bill requires health care providers caring for patients involved in a motor vehicle accident to report any evidence of alcohol or drug abuse to law enforcement agencies. Any additional caseload on the Court System and local law enforcement and prosecuting agencies would probably be relatively minor, and will be handled within existing resources.
