This bill reallocates $327,000 currently designated to the Applied Technology - Add-On Program of the Minimum School Program Act. The funds would be sent to Millard ($300,000), Tintic ($13,500), and Juab School Districts ($13,500) to fund the new Great Basin ATC. The reduction in funding to the Minimum School Program is minimal and may be handled within existing budgets. A new ATC can however be expected to make increasing budget requests in future years for growth, equipment, maintenance and operations, facilities, and other enhancements. Some costs such as those associated with facilities and equipment could be partially mitigated through private sector participation.
