This bill appropriates $15.4 million in FY 2001 from the Tobacco Settlement Account to the Department of Health ($9.6 million), the Department of Human Services (($4.91 million), Courts ($650,000), the Department of Corrections ($160,000) and the Board of Pardons ($80,000). Of the $9.6 million appropriation to the Department of Health, $5.5 will replace the current Hospital Provider Assessment utilized to fund the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
