HB0018 - Unemployment Compensation - Social Security Offset

State Impact:
Extending the sunset date will draw down an additional $400,000 to $500,000 from federal Reed Act distributions beginning in FY 2008 and lasting for four years. Federal rules governing the Reed Act do not require any state appropriation.

Individual and Business Impact:
No impact to businesses. People affected by this act will receive a larger unemployment benefit.
