HB0426 - Change to Department of Veterans' Affairs
State Impact:
Provisions of this bill creates the Department of Veterans' Affairs. Enactment of these provisions is estimated to cost $249,300 from the General Fund in FY 2008. Those funds will be used to lease additional space and for support staff. Many support functions that would be required by the new department are now being furnished by the support staff of the National Guard of which the Division of Veterans' Affairs is part of.
