SB0207S01 - Waste Tire Recycling Act Revisions
State Impact:
New revenue generated by the $0.25 per tire fee increase provided by the bill is estimated to be $500,000 in FY 2008 and $250,000 in the first six months of FY 2009 when the fee increase sunsets. These new funds could be used to relocate waste tire recycling facilities. No additional funds are required to administer provisions of this bill.

Enactment of this bill likely will result in direct, measurable costs for individuals, businesses, or local governments that purchase tires in the State. Waste tire recycling facilities could apply for up to 50% of relocation expenditures to relocate their facilities under provisions of the bill.
