HB0244 - State School Board - Elections and Districts
State Impact:
Enactment of this bill would require additional appropriations of $12,000 per election to administer additional school board races. The bill will generate offsetting revenue to the General Fund associated with candidate filing fees collected by the Lt. Governor. Assuming at least one candidate per new board seat, the General Fund revenue would be $600 in FY 2009 and about $300 per year every second year thereafter.
