SB0172 - Funding for Medicaid Vision Care

State Impact:
Enactment of this bill will not require additional appropriations. This Legislation clarifies the Department of Health’s authority to use its FY 2008 appropriation of $174,000 one-time General Funds and $431,400 one-time Federal Funds for vision benefits for Medicaid adults.

Individual, Business and/or Local Impact:
The vision benefits provided will result in revenues to the businesses providing the services and benefits for the individuals receiving the services. Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs and/or benefits for local governments.
