SB0234 - Minimum School Program Amendments - Counseling and Guidance Programs
State Impact:
Enactment of this bill transfers 3,409 Weighted Pupil Units (WPUs) from the Career and Technology Education - District Programs in the Basic School Program dedicated to Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling to a new line item. In addition, enactment of this bill increases the WPUs dedicated to Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling by 3,580 for a total of 6,989. The increased WPU cost is estimated at $9,000,120 in Uniform School Funds, with the associated impacts to the Voted and Board Leeway State Guarantee at $152,420.
