State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will cost the Courts $14,700 ongoing from the General Fund for additional Court filings and will generate $7,300 from Court filing fees to the General Fund beginning in FY 2013. Net cost to the General Fund is estimated to be $7,400 per year.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill will reduce local Justice Court filings for Class B misdemeanors thereby reducing costs and related revenues associated with those filings. The impact on local county jails is unknown at this time. However, any increase or decrease will affect county jails by $65 per day per inmate.

Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
