State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
To continue issuing food handler permits Utah’s local health departments collectively would need to pay a one-time accreditation fee of about $14,000 and an annual fee of $6,000. Local health departments would also incur the costs of complying with the accreditation standards.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Businesses wanting to issue food handler permits would need to pay a one-time accreditation fee of about $14,000 and an annual fee of $2,500 to $6,000 based on food permit revenues. Business would also incur the costs of complying with the accreditation standards. Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents.
