HB0414 - School Bonding for Seismic Purposes

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Presuming about 600 current school buildings that were constructed before 1975, enactment of this bill would initially cost school districts about $500 per building, or $300,000. For schools requiring further evaluation beyond the initial rapid visual screening, the seismic safety evaluation would cost up to $4,000 per school.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
