SB0138S01 - Health Insurance Mandate Accountability Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
The state will be required to appropriate money necessary to fund the full cost of implementing a health insurance mandate applicable to public education, higher education, and state employees. It is unknown at this time what appropriations will be required.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
School districts and charter schools will receive state appropriations for implementing applicable health insurance mandates.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Individuals covered by state, school district, charter school, or state funded institutions of higher education health insurance plans may benefit from state funded heath insurance mandates.
