Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
By imposing new reporting requirements, enactment of this bill increases the administrative costs to businesses by an estimated $28,000 annually. Also, by imposing a new requirement for roll-your-own cigarette machines to have electronic counters, enactment of this bill increases the initial costs associated with roll-your-own cigarette machines by $250,000 and the ongoing annual costs of $50,000.
