HB0272 - Pilot Program for Insurance Coverage for Autism Spectrum Disorders

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enacting this bill will cost the state about $4,348,200 in FY 2013. This estimate is based on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention study that shows 1 out of 110 children have autism spectrum disorder. Using the CDC ratio, 208 children would be covered by provisions of this bill. Public education will cost of about $4,400,000, assuming that the costs are covered by the state.
