State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill appropriates $350,000 ongoing General Fund beginning in FY 2013 to the Department of Health. Provisions of the bill will cost the Department of Health $36,500 one-time General Fund in FY 2012 and $251,300 ongoing General Fund beginning in FY 2013 for 0.9 FTE, testing supplies, body transportation costs, and additional working hours for some existing staff and contractors to handle 201 highway deaths.

For the instances from the 201 new cases where the Department of Health transports a corpse, this would save private individuals a cost that they previously paid. Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah businesses.
