Line Item: Uninsured Employers Fund

Function

The Uninsured Employers' Fund assists in the payment of workers compensation benefits to eligible persons where their employer did not maintain statuorily required workers compensation insurance. Revenues come from Workers' Compensation premium assessments collected by the State Tax Commission. These collections consist of a 0.05% surcharge on employers' Workers' Compensation premiums.
