Agency: Health

Line Item: Traumatic Brain Injury Fund

Function

Traumatic Brain Injury Fund is a restricted special revenue fund established by UCA 26-50. This account receives funds from appropriations from the Legislature, grants, and donations from private sources. The fund is to educate the public, coordinate short-term care, and support an information and referral system for persons with a traumatic brain injury. Medical treatment, long-term care, and acute care are not approved uses for the fund. Because the fund is a restricted special revenue fund, the agency does not need an appropriation to spend money in the fund.
