Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $3,613,700 from all sources for Blanding Campus. This is a 10.3 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $2,234,200 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 2.7 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.

Performance measures (Degrees Conferred, FTE Student Enrollment, and Graduation Rates) for the Blanding campus are included in the Education and General line item.

The Blanding campus began serving students in 1976 as a branch of the College of Eastern Utah. With the merger between Utah State University and the College of Eastern Utah, it became a Distance Education Center, utilizing interactive IP video conferencing to bring the University's programs to the southeastern corner of the State.

Following the University's annual audit, minor changes were made in the FY 2010 actual funding, affecting the closing nonlapsing balances.
