Hello, Joel,

For the last year, Jay has consistently been at the top of 4th District polling - it's clear that republicans in the 4th prefer Jay over his more extreme opponents. Jay has spent the last 9 years on KSL having conversations about controversial topics - without personal attacks - and proposing meaningful solutions. Jay has broad support from all types of republicans - conservative, moderate, and those in between - the kind of GOP coalition that could defeat an incumbent democrat like Rep. Ben McAdams . Jay even pulls support from independents and moderate democrats who are uncomfortable with Rep. Ben McAdam's close support of the ever increasingly more liberal democratic agenda.

The 4th District is a winnable district for republicans, but ONLY if the best candidate wins the GOP primary next week. If you haven't returned your ballot yet, please vote Jay "JayMac" Mcfarland and encourage your family and friends to do so as well.

In a recent town hall, Jay broke down differences between his opponents. Click here for his debate takeaways and click here to view the entire debate.

DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO JAY:

  • Despite repeated requests from local and national republican leadership, my opponents refuse to wear masks in public because they believe it’s an infringement on their personal liberties. I personally wear a mask because I believe that common courtesy is important. I’ve been very grateful for the leadership of President Trump, Governor Herbert and Lt Governor Cox in leading us through these turbulent times. I encourage everyone - including my opponents - to wear a mask because it is the responsible thing to do.

  • During the last two debates, we've all learned that my opponents refuse to work with anyone other than Republicans. I spent nine years on KSL Newsradio changing hearts and minds by explaining why conservative principles are the best principles. I know that I can use that same strategy with those on my side and others in Congress to remove gridlock and partisanship that has brought Washington to a screeching halt.

  • My opponents plan to bully other members of Congress into submitting to their will, "hit them hard" and actively refer to democrats as “Marxists, socialists, the enemy, and evil.” You can’t change hearts and minds by stereotyping and name calling. On KSL, I used facts, research and conservative principles to argue my case, BUT I  also listened to their points of view. I can do this in the halls of Congress.
Would you want a Congressperson who can’t get anything done because they refuse to work with others? Donate $100 to my campaign now so we can change hearts and minds together!
