2014 USHE Scholarship Report

How many degrees and certificates do Utah colleges and universities award?

USHE awarded 31,741 degrees and certificates in 2012-2013 (most recent data available), which amounts to about 3/4 of all degrees and certificates awarded in Utah each year. The number of degrees and certificates awarded each year by Utah colleges and universities has increased 18% between 2008 and 2013. Some additional highlights:

  • The type of degree that increased the most between 2008-13 was bachelor's degrees, by 2,520 awards. However, certificates of less than one year decreased by 75 awards during that same period.
