Subject: Ethics training

Representatives,

I hope you’re all planning to send the Old Year out in style and welcome the New Year in with new resolutions and hope for a better tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, allow me to humbly suggest your first resolution: Complete your legislative ethics training. I have it on good authority that the House chief deputy will be eternally grateful, and you’ll have the added bonus of frustrating the press.

All legislators are required to take the online Legislative Ethics training EVERY YEAR – with the next due date being January 5, 2014. That’s THIS SUNDAY for those scrambling for their calendars. There are three exercises to complete; the brief course can be found at:  www.le.utah.gov\lego

Once you have finished the three exercises, the system will record you as having completed the course and will send you an email to confirm.

Several of you have indicated that you took the test without signing in. That typically means you took the public version of the test, which is the same as the legislative version but without the signing in part that records you actually did it. Please follow the link above instead.

If you have technical questions, contact Trent Packer at LRGC:  801-538-1032 or 801-560-2102.

If you have questions regarding the training course content, please contact Tom Vaughn at LRGC:  801-538-1032.

Thanks for all you do, including taking your ethics training. RIGHT NOW!
