October 2014 Interim Meetings

Come join us at the Utah Legislature interim session Wednesday October 15, 2014. There are many interesting meetings scheduled around and on the interim day as we build toward the next legislative session. The League receives many compliments from legislators on our attendance at Interim Meetings.  Come and help us make sure we cover every committee!  If you need a mentor, call Nickie at 801-231-7326 or Angie at 801-558-9344.

Brief descriptions of the meetings and links to their agendas are attached.

Some of the more interesting items:

Wednesday, October 15:

  • Economic Development discusses Women in the Economy and also will hear a report on Intergenerational Poverty
  • Law Enforcement discusses Rape Kit Processing and Firearms on Campuses
  • Natural resources hears a report on Tier III Fuel
  • Government Operations discusses Lobbyist Disclosure and Campaign Finance – State and Local Laws

Don’t forget to join us for lunch (bring your own, if you wish) in the cafeteria of the Senate Building at noon to hear reports and discuss interim meetings!! We had 13 members at our table in September—gives us great visibility!
